School Bus Hit by Impaired Driver

Bonnyville RCMP responded to a two vehicle collision, Friday morning at approximately 8:00 am,  involving a school bus and a pickup truck north of Bonnyville at the intersection of Highway 660 and RR455.  Police believe the driver of the pickup truck accelerated while turning left and lost control, resulting in the truck T-boning the school bus.

Two people, the driver and a non-student passenger, sustained non-life threatening injuries as a result of the collision.

A 22 year old Bonnyville area man was arrested and charged with Impaired Operation of a Motor Vehicle, Impaired Over .08, Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle, along with other Provincial charges.

The suspect will appear in court on December 21st, 2015
