David Yurdiga Claims the Fort McMurray-Cold Lake Seat

Incumbent Member of Parliament (MP), David Yurdiga has won the Fort McMurray- Cold Lake Riding. Conservative, Yurdiga released the following statement Tuesday evening regarding Monday’s victory:

It is a great honour to be chosen by the people of Fort McMurray-Cold Lake to be their voice in Ottawa as their Member of Parliament.

It was a long campaign, but I used that time to meet countless people and knock on thousands of doors. As a politician I have always believed that talking to people is much better than talking at them. The issues and ideas that I have taken from these conversations will serve me well in Ottawa.

I did not go at this campaign alone, I had a team of dedicated volunteers who I would like to thank. This campaign would not have been possible without their help. One of these volunteers was my wife who was with me every step of the way.

I would also like to thank all the other candidates. They gave the people of our riding a choice in who would represent them by putting their names forward.

I am looking forward to serving our riding in the 42nd parliament. *David Yurdiga Facebook
