Fatal Collision near Lac La Biche
A 55-year-old Lac La Biche man was killed in a major collision on Highway 36 Saturday, July 25th in the evening.
Approximately 25 kilometres south of Lac La Biche, equipment on a northbound semi-truck broke loose and swung into the oncoming lane, hitting a southbound pickup truck. The pickup truck then collided with a northbound SUV.
The pickup truck’s driver was declared deceased at the scene. The SUV’s three occupants sustained minor injuries. The semi-truck’s driver was unhurt.
The identity of the deceased is not being made public. The matter remains under investigation.
