Bike Safety Training Saturday in Bonnyville

The Bonnyville RCMP Detachment is hosting a Bike Rodeo Training Session for kids aged 6-12. The session will teach kids safety measures for bike riding.

Constable Eberle, with the Bonnyville Detachment explains, “we’re going to be setting up an obstacle course for the kids to come down.”  Kids are asked to bring their own helmets and bikes to the event hosted in part by Bonnyville Victim Services. Constable Eberle says the event is designed to promote safety, “we want to promote bicycle safety in Bonnyville.”

“We want to see kids wearing helmets when they are out riding about in the town,” says Constable Eberle. Along with the safety training there will be a free BBQ and prizes, explains Constable Eberle, “there’s a free BBQ and we’re going to be raffling off bikes, as well as, gift certificates to Sylvestre’s Source for Sports.”

The event will be held at the Centennial Centre parking lot from 1:00-2:00pm on Saturday thanks to sponsors Re/Max, Bonnyville Victim Services & Sylvestre’s Source for Sports
