On July 15th, 2015, a vehicle attempting to park on main street has driven into The Golden Loaf Bakery. The business suffered the same collision, just five months prior, on March 26th of this year.

Constable Doktor with the RCMP Detachment in Elk Point says thankfully there were no injuries reported, “a vehicle did crash into it (the bakery), no people were injured.” The business was open and there were people in the establishment at the time of the incident says Constable Doktor, “there were patrons inside the building.”

The vehicle collision caused damage to the structure, says Constable Doktor, “there was significant damage done.”  “The investigation is ongoing,” says Constable Doktor, who could not confirm the identity of the person driving the vehicle and only confirmed that the person driving was an elderly man in his mid-90s in age.
