Lakeland Women’s Conference 2018

You’re invited to join influential & inspiring women from the Lakeland region to celebrate females in all roles. The full-day event features keynote speaker Kelly Falardeau.

Falardeau holds three best-selling author titles, she’s an award-winning, internationally sought after speaker, a Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal recipient and a  YWCA Woman of Distinction 2013.

Along with the Falardeau local women from the Lakeland region will be discussing a wide variety of topics in the break-out sessions.

60 out of 60 available Break-Out 2: Session 4: Becoming Involved; Boards and Politics Our speaker, Genia Leskiw will be sharing her journey from a local teacher to being our Member of Legislative Assembly. She was elected in the 2008 provincial election to represent the electoral district of Bonnyville-Cold Lake in the Legislative Assembly of Alberta, the first woman and the first Ukrainian-Canadian to represent the area.[1][2][3] She was a member of the Progressive Conservative caucus and sat on several committees, including Privileges and Elections, the Standing Orders and Printing Committee, and the Special Standing Committee on Members Services
