Lakeland Battle Royale

Lakeland Connect and MCSNet first eSports event – Lakeland Battle Royale will be held March 21st at the Comfort Inn in Bonnyville. Battle to WIN $1000 in cash prizes.

Entry free must be paid in full prior to tournament to be valid.

Participants must be 13 years of age or older. Participants under 18 years of age will require parental consent.

Tournament open to the first 50 paid participants.


General Tournament Rules

  1. Judges have final ruling.
  2. Contestants must be 13 years of age or older.
    1. Parental consent needed for contestants under 18 years of age.
    2. ID may be required. Be prepared to prove identity and age.
  3. Entry fee must be paid in full, on or before 5:00 pm (MST) on March 13th, 2020.
    1. Contestants will not be considered registered without full payment.
    2. No late entrants
  4. Tournament will be held at the Comfort Inn Banquet Room in Bonnyville on March 21st, 2020.
  5. Contestants must arrive for registration between 9:00 am and 11:00 am on March 21st, 2020.
    1. Contestants arriving after 11:00 am will be disqualified.
  6. Contestants will have from 9:00 am to 11:59 am to set up playing area.
  7. Game will commence at 12:00 pm sharp.
    1. No late participants.
    2. Each contestant’s playing area must be checked by a tournament judge prior to start of play.
  8. Contestants are permitted smartphones during the competition; however, the phones cannot be charged into their game console or monitor.
  9. Contestants cannot use outside influence and/or technology during game play.
  10. Judges reserve the right to remove contestants from the competition. Some reasons for removal may include:
    1. Excessive foul language
    2. Bullying behaviour
    3. Cheating
    4. Contestant leaving the game play without authorization
    5. Contestant who does not return in time from scheduled break
    6. Improper use of technology

  1. Contestants must supply his/her own:
    1. PlayStation console
    2. Call of Duty Black Ops 4 Game
    3. Monitor
      1. Monitor size must be smaller than 30”

Provided

  1. Playing area, table & chair
  2. Pizza lunch
  3. Internet connection

Tournament Play Rules

Judges will have final ruling.

Winner will be determined by most points collected throughout game play.

Round 1

  1. Round 1 of game play will include all contestants and be played out in Battle Royale style from 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm. The final Battle Royale must begin before 2:59 pm.
  2. Scoring points will be determined as follows:
    1. 1 KILL = 1 POINT
    2. Point awarded for game placement. Example: if you are the first to leave the game you will receive 1 point. Second to leave the game 2 points, third to leave the game 3 points and so on and so forth until the last contestant remains.
  3. There will be a 10-minute break in between each battle.
  4. The top 10 contestants with the most points will advance to Round 2.
  5. In the event of a tie the contestant with the most kills, between those who are tied, will advance.

 

Round 2

  1. There will be a 20-minute break between Round 1 and Round 2.
    1. Should the 20-minute break carry over the 4:00 pm start time, then the play time will be adjusted to 1 hour 59 minutes from the start time.
  2. Round 2 of game play will include the top 10 contestants and be played out in Battle Royale style from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm. The final Battle Royale must begin before 5:59 pm.
  3. Scoring points will be determined as follows:
    1. 1 KILL = 1 POINT
    2. Point awarded for game placement. Example: if you are the first to leave the game you will receive 1 point. Second to leave the game 2 points, third to leave the game 3 points and so on and so forth until the last contestant remains.
  4. There will be a 10-minute break in between each battle.
  5. In the event of a tie the contestant with the most kills, between those who are tied, will be determined the winner.

Minimum of 25 paid participants needed by March 15th at 12:00 pm (noon) for tournament to proceed.

Participants must be 13 years of age or older.
