Grey Wowk Spencer is pleased to celebrate Nicholas Anderson’s call to the bar on October 27, 2026, marking an important milestone in his legal career.
A member of the University of Alberta’s Juris Doctor Class of 2025, Nicholas brings academic achievement, volunteer experience and a strong interest in community involvement to this next chapter.
Recognizing Academic Excellence
During his legal studies, Nicholas received the Canadian Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors Prize in Insurance. The award recognized his achievement of the highest grade in his Insurance Law class, with a final grade of A+.
His academic accomplishments also extend to his time in the University of Alberta’s Bachelor of Education program, where he received several awards:
- Indigenous Students Award;
- Indigenous Careers Award;
- Robert Tegler Undergraduate Award;
- Belcourt Brosseau Métis Award, received twice; and
- George Knowles Family Aboriginal Student Award.
These achievements reflect the dedication Nicholas has brought to his education throughout his university years.

Community Involvement and Life Beyond the Office
While attending the University of Alberta, Nicholas volunteered with Student Legal Services, contributing his time alongside his studies.
His interest in community involvement also connects with a lifelong enthusiasm for sports. Hockey and golf fill much of his free time in winter and summer, and he plans to get involved in coaching this year.
Away from work and the rink or golf course, Nicholas enjoys helping out on the farm, travelling and spending time wakesurfing at the lake.
Celebrating the Next Chapter
A call to the bar represents the culmination of years of study, training and commitment. For Nicholas, October 27 marked the beginning of a new chapter in which to put that preparation into practice.
Everyone at Grey Wowk Spencer congratulates Nicholas on this achievement. We look forward to supporting his continued growth and celebrating the contributions he will make throughout his legal career.
