As we mourn our loss here, they celebrate in Heaven. A dearly loved one is welcomed home. On October 28, 2026, Henry “Hank” Smyl of St. Paul, Alberta, passed away at the age of 91 years. He is survived by his loving children, Bonnie (Roland Joly), Brian (Debbie) & Greg; 4 grandchildren, Dr. Jazz Smyl Joly (Robert Schmidt), Jagger Smyl Joly (Sarah Desmond), Sidney & Jesse; great-granddaughter, Eleanor Josephine Schmidt; brother, Leonard; sister, Eileen Junck; sisters-in-law, Maureen & Karen; numerous cousins, nieces & nephews. Henry was predeceased by his wife, Marlene; parents, Ignacy & Zosia; siblings, Bernard (Pauline), John (Mary), Florian, Mike, Joe & George; brother-in-law, Wayne Junck; & sister-in-law, Leona. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, November 6 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Paul Cathedral, St. Paul with Reverend Father Raldy Jhack Diaz as the celebrant. Cremation has taken place & inurnment will be held in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, St. Paul. If desired, donations may be made to Haying in the 30s (Cancer Support Society) or St. Paul Hospital Foundation (Palliative Care Room) ℅ 5626 – 51 Street, St. Paul, AB T0A 3A1.
