With heavy hearts the family of Louise Elizabeth Mills-Spence announce her passing on Saturday October 10, 2026 at the age of 68 years.

Louise was a bright and kind soul who welcomed everyone with warmth. She was always happy to share a pot of coffee and a good visit with friends and family.

She leaves to mourn her memory and teachings to her daughters: Karen Spence, Kimberly Spence, Kristyn Spence; grandchildren: Madyson Spence, Mikayla Spence, Isaac Spence; as well as numerous friends and extended family members.

Louise met her husband Lawrence Spence at the tender age of nineteen. They were together for 43 years and married for 28 years before he passed away. She is also predeceased by her son: Kevin Spence; step son: Willie McSwain; nephew: Phillip Diehl; sister: Myrtle Diehl; half sister: Agnes Fleury; parents: William & Clara Mills.

Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday October 20, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. at Mission View Funeral Chapel, 133 Sentinel Drive, Lac La Biche, Alberta. Pastor Emmanuel Chiwele is officiating the service.

Honorary Pallbearers: Mikayla Spence, Madyson Spence, Isaac Spence, Dean Diehl, Joseph Roy, Mary Podgorney, Elaine Boucher, Barbara Burr.

Cremation will take place and a family inurnment will be held at a later date at Willow Park Cemetery, Lac La Biche, Alberta.
