With deep sadness, the family of Catherine “Cathy” Stewart announces her unexpected passing on Thursday, September 17, 2026, at the Sturgeon Community Hospital in St. Albert, at the age of 69 years.

Cathy is lovingly survived by her husband, Jan Stewart; her children: twin sons Timothy and Steffan Stewart, daughter Sierra Stewart, son Richard Chapman, and daughter Kristie Mackenzie Morre. She was blessed with six grandchildren: Nevin, Noah, Silas, Davis, Xander, Taylor, Maddy; and one great grandchild.

She is also survived by her siblings: Marilyn (Robin) and their children Sydney and Michael; Joan (Val); John (Lorraine) and their children Chancy, Stacey, Rene, and Dayne; Mike (Angie) and their children Deandra and Brina; and Bev (Bob) and their children Nadine and Christopher; as well as extended family members and many dear friends.

Cathy was predeceased by her parents John & Melinda “Millie” Gagnon; nephew: Anthony Gagnon.
