Aurel Boutet passed away with family members by his side on September 26, 2026 at the age of 81.

Aurel leaves to mourn his devoted wife of 46 years, Eva, his children Audrey, Patrick (Emilie) and Martin (Melanie), his grandchildren Julie and Stephanie, and numerous cousins.

Aurel was predeceased by his Father, Antoine, his Mother, Father-in-law, Zygmunt, and Mother-in-law, Irena.

As a child, Aurel lived on a farm near Bonnyville, AB. He moved to Edmonton while he studied at the University of Alberta to attain his degree in Agriculture. He met Eva through mutual friends and married after a short courtship. He returned to Bonnyville with his new bride, purchased the family farm from his parents and this is where he lived until his passing. Aurel ran a successful business and will be remembered for his calm nature and honesty.

The family wishes to extend their heartfelt appreciation to Dr. Travis Webster and the entire medical care team at the Bonnyville Health Centre for their compassion and understanding.

At the request of Aurel, a private service was held at St Louis Catholic Church with Fr. Rene Realuyo officiating. Funeral arrangements were provided by Northern Lights Funeral Chapel, Bonnyville.
