It is with deep sadness that the family of Benoit “Benny” Grandbois of Cold Lake First Nations announce his passing on Sunday, September 13, 2026, at the age of 66 years.

Benny will be lovingly remembered by his wife: Kathy Grandbois; daughters: Beatrisha (Andrew) Benson, Katelyn (Chris) Grandbois, Kaylynn Grandbois; sons: Kelsey (Chasity) Montgrand, Benjermin Grandbois, Issac Grandbois, Zane (Tailia) Grandbois; siblings: Wilfred, Clement, Gardenia (Mike), Gary; adopted sister: Serena Dufrene; numerous grandchildren, five step-grandchildren & 3 great-grandchild; mother-in-law: Flora McKenzie; sisters-in-law: Rachel and Julia McKenzie.

Benny was predeceased by his daughter: Bennyshia Grandbois; stepson: Konrad Sylvestre; parents: Eva and Toby Grandbois; siblings: Louis, Ricky, Teddy, Chris, Ella, Theresa.

A Wake will be held on Friday, September 18, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at House 280 in Cold Lake, followed by a Traditional Funeral on Monday, September 21, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at the same location.
