With great sadness, the family of William “Bill” George Wehinger of Cold Lake, Alberta announce the passing of their dearly loved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and brother on Wednesday, September 16, 2026 at the age of 82 years.

After proudly serving 27 years in the RCAF, Bill enjoyed gardening, camping and spending time with his beloved dog, Peanut, in his retirement. He was an accomplished wood worker and especially enjoyed creating wooden toys for children.

Left to remember Bill’s memory are his loving wife of 57 years, Sharon Wehinger; children: Karen (David) Wehinger of Cherry Grove, Alberta, Karla (Kelvin) Churko of Cold Lake, Alberta, Daniel (Tina) Wehinger of Edmonton, Alberta; grandchildren: Josh (Monique), Alex, Kurtis, Kameron, Faith, Krystal; great grandchildren: Coen, Barrett; brother: John (Mary) Wehinger; sister: Louise (Bob) Benech; as well as many other family members and friends.

Bill is reuniting with his parents, August & Annie Wehinger; brother: Heinz Wehinger.

Mass of Christian Burial, Friday September 25, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. (Eulogy at 10:50 a.m.), St. Dominic Roman Catholic Church, Cold Lake, Alberta with Father Limneo Zamora as celebrant. Urnbearers: Daniel Wehinger, Karen Wehinger, Karla Churko. Honorary Urnbearers: All William’s grandchildren and great grandchildren. Final Resting Place, Our Lady of Assumption Roman Catholic Cemetery, Cold Lake, Alberta.
