Dorothy Delphine (Roth) Scott

August 29, 1942 ~ August 24, 2026 (age 83)

It is with deep sadness that the family of Dorothy Delphine Scott of Pierceland, Saskatchewan, announces her passing at home, surrounded by her family, on Monday, August 24, 2026, just five days before her 84th birthday.

Dorothy was born on August 29, 1942 to Joseph and Mary Roth, the eldest of four children. On December 29, 1967, she married Dave Scott. Together, they raised three children: Greg, Corinna, and Tracy. Dorothy was blessed with three grandchildren: Harley, Talin, and Dakota, whom she adored and looked forward to spending time with.

Dorothy’s greatest passion in life was her family. She took great pride in caring for those she loved, and her happiest moments were spent in their company. She also found great joy in the simple pleasures of life: walking to the dugout, watching birds and wildlife, gardening, tending to her flowers, playing with family pets, and listening to music.

Above all, Dorothy will be remembered for her caring heart, her unwavering devotion, and the love she shared with everyone around her.

Dorothy will be forever remembered by her loving husband of 58 years, Dave Scott of Pierceland, SK; her children, Greg (Kristan) Scott of Edmonton, AB, Corinna (Arnold) Baker of Cold Lake, AB, and Tracy (Kristen) Scott of Pierceland, SK; and her grandchildren, Harley Hook, Talin Scott, and Dakota Baker, her brother, Francis (Muriel) Roth; her sisters, Shirley (Wolfgang) Grundner and Jacqueline (Norman) VonGrad; as well as many nieces, nephews, members of Dave’s family, extended family, and dear friends.

Dorothy was predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Mary Roth, and her nephew, Kelly Grundner.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, September 5, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. in the St. Antoninus Roman Catholic Church in Pierceland, Saskatchewan, with Father Dong Doan officiating. Dorothy will be laid to rest at the St. Antoninus Roman Catholic Cemetery, Pierceland, Saskatchewan. There will be a lunch served afterwards in the Pierceland Hall.
