On August 18, 2026, Colleen “Nôhtok” Joyce Jackson of Edmonton, AB, formerly of Saddle Lake, AB, passed away at the age of 62 years. She is survived by her 4 sons, Michael Large Jr., Gregory Large, Dustin (Chrissy) Stamp & Treshawn Large; 9 grandchildren, Braiden, Damien, Treshawn, Leeland, Amelianna, Isaiah, Jesse, Kylie & Brayden; 2 brothers, Leonard Jackson & Edward ‘Bird’ Cardinal; 4 sisters, Muriel Beaudry, Esther Crane, Gloria (Robert) Ward & Delores Saskatchewan; adopted sisters, Tammy Makokis & Whitney Scanie; numerous nieces & nephews. Colleen was predeceased by her son, Parnel Large; father, Albert Makokis; mom, Emily Jackson; brothers, Kenneth, Anthony, Roland, Kevin & Bluebird Jackson, Peter Sr., Rene, Dennis, Lawrence, Albert & Daniel Cardinal, Kenton Beaudry; sister, Nora Cardinal; maternal grandparents, Louie & Dora Cardinal; paternal grandparents, Harry & Mary Louise Makokis. A Wake will be held on Sunday, August 23 (leaving Grace Gardens at 1:00 p.m.) & Monday, August 24 at Ayiwakes Cultural Centre, Saddle Lake. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, August 25 at 11:00 a.m. at Ayiwakes Cultural Centre, Saddle Lake.
