The Town of Vermilion Office is closed today following an attempted break-in and vandalism at the facility.
Town officials announced the closure Thursday, Aug. 20, saying the decision was made to ensure the safety of staff and security of the building.
“The safety of our staff and the security of our building remain our top priorities,” the Town said in a statement.
The Town is working with the appropriate authorities following the incident.

Residents are being advised that services at the Town Office may be unavailable while the situation is addressed.
