It is with profound sadness that the family of Lena Helen Himech announces the passing of their beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and sister in law on Sunday, July 12, 2026 at the age of 84 years.
Lena is lovingly survived by her three daughters: Debra (Brent) Smith, Natalie (Steve) Schultheiss, and Sandra (Guy) Hollett; eight grandchildren: Candice (Doug), Krista (Troy), Kelsee (Jonathan), Chad (Shawna), Bryce (Korri), Brayden, Layne, and Austyn; and eight great grandchildren: Alexa, Brooklyn, Katie, Brynn, Tanner, Richie, Emily, and Anastasia; as well as three sisters in law: Mildred, Myrna & Donna Himech.
Lena was predeceased by her parents: John & Nancy Himech; four brothers: Peter, John, Paul (Hilda), Steve; one sister: Stella (Guy) Marcotte.
Lena’s greatest joy in life was her family. She poured her heart into her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, celebrating every milestone and cherishing every visit, phone call, and gathering. Her love was steady, generous, and unwavering — the kind of love that shaped the lives around her and created a legacy of warmth, connection, and belonging. To her family, she was a source of comfort, strength, and endless pride.
Celebration of Life, Sunday, July 19, 2026 at 1:30 p.m., Ardmore Community Centre, Ardmore, Alberta with inurnment to follow at Duclos Memorial Cemetery, Ardmore, Alberta.
