Two Royal Canadian Air Force CF-18 Hornet fighter jets from 4 Wing Cold Lake, Alta, will conduct a flypast in support of Cold Lake First Nations Heritage Days on July 11, 2026, at approximately 11:00 a.m. MDT.

The CF-18 Hornet will conduct the flypast at approximately 500 feet above the highest obstacle within the flypast route. Flypasts conducted by Royal Canadian Air Force personnel and assets are carefully planned and closely controlled to ensure the safety of the public, commercial and civilian air traffic, the pilot and the aircraft and are dependant on weather conditions.

The CF-18 Hornet is the Royal Canadian Air Force’s frontline multi-role fighter, and is employed in many different roles, including air defense, air superiority and tactical air and ground support.
