Due to unsafe track conditions caused by heavy rain, Friday evening’s chuckwagon races will not proceed as scheduled.
The Bonnyville Pro Rodeo is still a go tonight, and the dance will also proceed as planned.
After a very wet week, the Bonnyville Ag Society crew put in long hours preparing the track and infield for racing. Their efforts paid off Thursday night as Kurt Bensmiller posted the fastest time, followed by Chanse Vigen, Logan Gorst, Darcy Flad and Dustin Gorst.
The updated chuckwagon race schedule is:
▪️ Saturday – 6:00 PM
▪️ Sunday – 2:00 PM
▪️ Monday – 6:00 PM
The WPCA and Bonnyville Chuckwagon Committee say the safety of the horses, drivers, outriders and fans remains the top priority.
The rodeo, the dance and a full weekend of entertainment are still on. We’ll see you at the grounds.
