COMMUNITY POLICING COMMITTEE MEMBER
The Town of Bonnyville is seeking engaged and community-minded residents to serve on its Community Policing Committee. This committee plays an important role in local decision-making by providing advice and recommendations to Council on community safety, policing matters, and related initiatives.
Honorariums are provided for participation.
CURRENT OPPORTUNITY:
- Community Policing Committee
- One (1) community member position available
WHO SHOULD APPLY:
You may be a good fit if you:
- Are a resident of the Town of Bonnyville
- Are 18 years of age or older
- Have an interest in community safety and policing matters
- Are able to work collaboratively and maintain confidentiality
- Can attend regular monthly meetings
- Are willing to complete a Criminal Record Check, including a Vulnerable Sector Check, in accordance with Alberta legislation
- Are not a current employee of a police service
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide input and recommendations to Council on community policing initiatives
- Participate in committee meetings and discussions
- Support the development of policies and programs related to community safety
- Maintain confidentiality and uphold ethical standards
- Collaborate with other committee members and stakeholders
CONDITIONS OF APPOINTMENT:
- Must meet eligibility requirements outlined above
- Must successfully complete required background checks
