A familiar — and fun — event is coming back to St. Paul.
Lemonade Day is returning this June, giving local youth the chance to try their hand at running a business.
“We encourage youth to become entrepreneurs… and run lemonade stands.”
The program, led by Community Futures Lakeland, walks participants through everything from planning to food safety to actually selling their product.
There’s even a tasting day built in.
“That’s when they actually bring a sample… and they judge for the best tasting lemonade.”
The Town plays a role too — helping with business licences, temporary locations and even providing a judge.
Council also discussed a small sponsorship contribution and continued support for the program.
It’s a simple idea — but one that gives kids real experience in entrepreneurship.
