Residents in Bonnyville and the surrounding area will have a chance to hear directly from local police and municipal leaders later this month as the Bonnyville RCMP Detachment hosts a public safety town hall.

The event is set for Tuesday, April 21, 2026, from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Bonnyville Town Administration Building, located at 4917 49 Avenue.

Focus on crime and community safety

Staff Sgt. Lloyd Pinsent, Detachment Commander of the Bonnyville RCMP, is expected to deliver a presentation outlining public safety issues seen in the Bonnyville area over the past year.

According to the detachment, the presentation will also cover current and upcoming initiatives to reduce crime and improve community safety.

Mayors to join panel

Mayor Elisa Brosseau of Bonnyville and Mayor Brian Papirny of Glendon will also take part in the town hall.

They will help answer questions related to public safety matters that fall outside RCMP jurisdiction, giving residents a chance to raise broader concerns tied to municipal issues and community well-being.

The public can ask questions in person or ahead of time

Residents attending the town hall will be able to ask questions during the event.

Anyone who would rather submit a question in advance can email KBonnyville@rcmp-grc.gc.ca.

The Bonnyville RCMP says the town hall is meant to encourage residents to learn more about local public safety efforts and take part in constructive discussions with police and municipal partners.
