On March 8, 2026, Cliffton Lewis Shirt of Saddle Lake, Alberta passed away at the age of 43 years. He is survived by his loving wife of 26 years, Abi Hunter; children, Nahtisha (Michael), Channtel, Tashina, Brooke, Leeland & Bryson; grandchildren, Crimson, Denali, Micaiah, Amari & Matty Rae; mother, Violet Shirt; father, Morris Whiskeyjack; siblings, Morris (Trina), Tyrone, Glenda (Frank), Kim Brertton & Cedar Quinn; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews & cousins. Cliffton was predeceased by his children, Cliffton Jr; baby girl infancy, Tyrone Hunter, George Whiskeyjack Jr; siblings, Baby in infancy & Gabriel; maternal grandparents, Peter & Mary Shirt; paternal grandparents, Ben & Caroline Whiskeyjack; brother-in-law, Byron Hunter. A Wake was held on Tuesday & Wednesday, March 17 & 18 at Ayiwakes Cultural Centre, Saddle Lake. A Traditional Funeral Service was held on Thursday, March 19 at 11:00 a.m. at Ayiwakes Cultural Centre, Saddle Lake with interment in Cliff & Abi’s Southside Snake Hills Ranch, Saddle Lake.
