Published On: March 4, 2026By

Bonnyville Pontiacs forward Gavin Harrison is once again being recognized among the Alberta Junior Hockey League’s top young players.

The Cold Lake product has been named the Adapt AJHL Rookie of the Month for February, marking the second time this season the first-year forward has earned the honour.

Harrison led all AJHL rookies in February with 16 points in 10 games, recording eight goals and eight assists, including two game-winning goals during the stretch.

Strong month for Pontiac rookie

The Swift Current Broncos draft pick had a standout month offensively. Harrison recorded his second AJHL hat trick, posted six multi-point games, and finished February on a seven-game point streak that produced 15 points.

His performances also earned him Bunge AJHL Player of the Game honours three times during the month.

Earlier in February, Harrison was also named the Inter Pipeline AJHL Rookie of the Week for the week of Feb. 9–15, 2026.

Leading all AJHL rookies

With just four regular season games remaining, the 2009-born forward sits first among all AJHL rookies in scoring with 54 points, including 26 goals and 28 assists.

Harrison’s production has been a key factor as the Bonnyville Pontiacs continue their push for the final playoff spot in the 2026 Inter Pipeline Cup AJHL Playoffs.
