A new physiotherapy clinic is coming to 50th Avenue.
Council, sitting as the Municipal Planning Commission, approved a development permit for a physiotherapy office at 4114 50th Avenue.
The application required approval because physiotherapy is currently listed as neither a permitted nor discretionary use in the C3 Highway Commercial District under the Town’s Land Use Bylaw.
Administration confirmed the Town is beginning the process of updating its Land Use Bylaw, and uses like this one will be reviewed as part of that work.
One councillor said they saw no issue with the location.
“I don’t see a problem with that going in that location. I think it’ll be a nice add to the area,” the councillor said before making the motion to approve.
The permit was approved with conditions attached. Council has now directed administration to proceed.
