On Sunday, February 15, 2026 Wilhelmine “Willie” Butler passed away peacefully at the Bonnyville Healthcare Centre after a courageous battle with cancer at the age of 83 years.
Willie is now in the loving arms of her husband: Melvin Butler; children: Kathy Butler & Tim Butler; parents: Lydia & Newton “Ray” Fels; sisters: Arabelle, Cora; brothers: Fred, Lloyd, Cecil, Francis, Les; nephews: Harold Fels, Charles Fels.
Willie is lovingly survived by her grandchildren: Ashley Butler (Larry), Serena Butler (Sanny), Dion Butler, Richard Gladue, sister: Evelyn McDougal; brother-in-law: John Tourangeau; nephew: Mark Tourangeau (Marla); as well as numerous other nieces, nephews, extended relatives and friends.
Cremation has taken place. Inurnment will take place at Duclos Cemetery, Ardmore, Alberta at a later date.
