Support for women and children fleeing family violence received a significant boost this winter, as Stepping Stones Crisis Society announced a ,486.48 donation from Canadian Natural Resources Limited.

The funds were raised through Canadian Natural’s steak and shrimp fundraising dinner held last autumn, with Stepping Stones selected as a recipient of the proceeds.

“We want to take a moment to sincerely thank Canadian Natural for their incredible donation of $19,486.48 to Stepping Stones Crisis Society,” the organization shared. “We were honoured to be selected as a recipient of funds raised through their steak and shrimp fundraising dinner last autumn, and we are deeply grateful to everyone who helped make that event possible.”

Supporting Women and Children in Crisis

Stepping Stones Crisis Society provides safe shelter, programming, and ongoing support for women and children fleeing family violence across the region. The organization plays a critical role in ensuring those experiencing crisis have access to immediate safety and long-term supports close to home.

“Every donation that we receive, whether big or small, is significant to our organization,” Stepping Stones said. “It directly supports the day-to-day work of providing safe shelter, programs, and ongoing support for women and children fleeing family violence in our community.”
