Cold Lake Man Arrested After Stolen Pickup Recovered Following Public Tips
Cold Lake RCMP arrested a 24-year-old Cold Lake man after a stolen pickup was located and recovered the same evening it was reported missing, thanks in part to information from the public.
Stolen Truck Located Outside City
On the evening of Jan. 24, 2026, Cold Lake RCMP received a report of a stolen pickup truck. While officers were on patrol, multiple sightings of the vehicle were reported within Cold Lake.
Police later located the truck on Range Road 413, where the driver was arrested without incident and the vehicle was recovered.
Charges Laid
As a result of the investigation, Cory Taylor, 24, of Cold Lake, has been charged with:
- Obstruct peace officer (two counts)
- Drive while unauthorized
- Theft of truck
Taylor was brought before a justice of the peace and was remanded into custody.
Court Date Set
Taylor is scheduled to appear before the Alberta Court of Justice in Cold Lake on Feb. 11, 2026.
