On January 16, 2026, Mavis Rose Cardinal of Saddle Lake, Alberta passed away at the age of 59 years. She is survived by her husband, Harley Whitstone; daughter, Isabell Whitstone; siblings, Eddie (Janet) Cardinal, Betty Moosewah, Carl Cardinal & Donna Cardinal; furbabies, Hermione, Emi & Kat; numerous grandchildren, chapons, nieces, nephews & cousins. Mavis was predeceased by her parents, Harry & Eva Cardinal; brothers, Gabriel & Edward Cardinal Jr.; & fur baby, Bear. A Wake will be held on Saturday, January 24 (leaving Grace Gardens at 3:00 p.m.) & Sunday, January 25 at Ayiwakes Cultural Centre, Saddle Lake.  A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, January 26 at 11:00 a.m. at Ayiwakes Cultural Centre, Saddle Lake.
