While reflecting on memories of her beautiful life, the family of Janet Celeste Orsted of Bonnyville, Alberta, formerly of Weyburn, Saskatchewan, announce the passing of their beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister on Wednesday, January 21, 2026 at the age of 84 years.

Leaving to mourn are her children: Carlene (Kevin) Ryan, Brad (Sherrilee) Orsted, Kelly Orsted (Danielle Blanshard); grandchildren: Jeremy (Andrea) Ryan, Joelle (Morgan) Allen, Kyler (Kelsey) Ryan, Brittany (Chase) Beaudoin, Austin (Jordyn) Orsted, Aspen Orsted (Tanner Odgers), Cassidy (Jeremy) Leas, Ethan Orsted (Ashleigh Landry); treasured great grandchildren: Parker, Hunter, Tanner, Tobias, Selah, Mercy, Mika, Naomi, Kona, Kacey, Maverick, Adisyn, Charli, Sadie; brother: Barry (Gloria) Allen; sisters-in-law: Kathy Purves, Donna Cooper; Janet will also be missed by her many nieces, nephews, extended family & friends.

Janet was predeceased by her husband: Neil Orsted; parents: Blair & Dorothy Allen; brothers: Val Allen, Blaine Allen.

A Celebration of Janet’s Life will take place on Friday, February 6, 2026 at 11:00 a.m., Calvary Baptist Community Church, Weyburn, Saskatchewan with Reverend Doug Loden officiating.
