Local support making a real difference for families

Cold Lake Family and Community Support Services received a significant boost this week thanks to a $5,280 donation from Royal LePage Northern Lights Realty — a contribution that will directly support counselling and essential programs for children and families in the community.

The donation was formally accepted by members of the FCSS board, including City Councillor Raymond Cowell, who is serving as a board member with City of Cold Lake FCSS. His comments were made in his role as an FCSS board member and not on behalf of City Council.

A strong first impression as a new board member

“As a new board member with City of Cold Lake Council serving on the City of Cold Lake FCSS, I am truly inspired by the passion and dedication shown by the board and staff in supporting our community,” Cowell said.

He noted that the work happening through FCSS reflects the heart of Cold Lake — people showing up for one another when it matters most.

Cowell highlighted the importance of local businesses stepping up to support social programs that have a direct impact on residents.
