With grateful hearts for a beautiful life lived, the family of Jeannette Rose Baik (née Beaupré) of Bonnyville, Alberta announces her peaceful passing on Saturday, January 17, 2026 surrounded by her loved ones, at the age of 91 years.
Leaving to mourn with cherished memories are her children: Lillian (Jim) Andruchow of St. Albert, AB, Debbie (Rémi) Caouette of St. Paul, AB, Lorry (Emil) Leguerrier of Bonnyville, AB, Jacquie (Brian) Sandberg of Sherwood Park, AB, Maurice (Kyla) Baik of Bonnyville, AB, Sharon Baik of Bonnyville, AB, Jessica (Darwin) Zalaski of Bonnyville, AB, Marcel (Kim) Baik of Bonnyville, AB; grandchildren: Nicole (Adam), Matthew (Romy), Dallas (Ashley), Céline (Lukas), Danielle (Hayden), Chantal (Reece), Brianna (Murray), Jeffrey, Jared (Heather), Janelle (Jeff), Jocelyne, Monique (Matt), Jennifer, Stephanie (Travis); great grandchildren; Ryleigh, Zackary, David, Lachlan, Elsie, Gabrielle, Barrett, Walker, Lucy, Bryton, Jordis, Madden, Amelia, Emmett, Colter; sisters: Angeline McEwen, Yolande (Doret) Landry; sisters-in-law: Jenny Beaupré, Lynn Beaupré; Jeannette will also be missed by her many nieces, nephews, extended family & friends.
Jeannette was predeceased by her husband: Jesse Baik (August 15, 2003); parents: Charles & Aldina Beaupré; siblings: Roger (Lorraine) Beaupré, Joanne (Ben) Sales, Guy (Hazel) Beaupré, Jeannine Beaupré (infant twin sister), André (Liz) Beaupré, Paul Beaupré, Bernard Beaupré, Raymond Beaupré, Lilianne Beaupré; brother-in-law: Jim McEwen.
Mass of Christian Burial, Saturday, January 24, 2026 at 10:30 a.m., at St. Louis Roman Catholic Church, Bonnyville, Alberta with Father Rene Realuyo as Celebrant. Viewing will take place one hour prior to service, with eulogy starting at 10:15 a.m. Those wishing to view the service online may do so by live-stream from our website. A recording of the service will also be made available.
Pallbearers: Nicole Macrae, Céline Jardine, Danielle MacLean, Chantal Loranger, Jeffrey Zalaski, Jared Zalaski, Janelle Zalaski, Jocelyne Zalaski. Honorary Pallbearers: all Legion Members, past & present. Final Resting Place, Holy Family Roman Catholic Cemetery, Bonnyville, Alberta.
