Suspect Arrested After $130,000 Stolen from Lloydminster ATM
RCMP say a months-long investigation into a major ATM theft in Lloydminster has led to the arrest of a Calgary woman now facing multiple charges.
Lloydminster RCMP confirmed a suspect has been arrested in connection with a break and enter at an ATM that resulted in more than $130,000 in cash being stolen.
ATM Break-In Reported December 2024
Police were first called to the scene on December 29, 2024, around 10 a.m., after receiving a report of a break and enter to an ATM near 39 Avenue and 50 Street in Lloydminster.
Investigators determined suspects forcibly gained entry into the ATM machine, making off with over $130,000 in cash. RCMP also say the damage and replacement costs associated with the ATM were estimated at nearly $30,000.
Investigation Spans Multiple Agencies
Lloydminster RCMP conducted an extensive investigation, which included canvassing nearby businesses for video surveillance and completing numerous judicial authorizations.
Through those efforts, police were able to identify a female suspect.
With assistance from the Calgary Fugitive Apprehension Team, 40-year-old Mandy Breadlaw of Calgary was located and arrested. Police say Breadlaw was wanted on 26 outstanding arrest warrants at the time of her arrest.
Charges and Court Appearance
Breadlaw was held in custody and appeared before the Alberta Court of Justice in Wainwright on January 15, 2026.
She is facing the following charges:

Mischief over $5,000

Theft over $5,000
Police Credit Collaboration
Lloydminster RCMP say collaboration played a key role in bringing the investigation to a close.
“This investigation required a significant commitment of resources and strong collaboration between multiple policing partners,” said Sgt. Christopher Byford of the Lloydminster RCMP. “The assistance of local businesses and law enforcement partners was critical in identifying and locating the suspect, which helped to bring this investigation to a successful conclusion.”
RCMP also thanked local businesses for providing surveillance footage, along with the Calgary Police Service and RCMP Southern Alberta General Investigation Section for their support.
