A Small Box, a Big Loss for a Local Business

The vintage cash box shown in this image is a reminder of a recent break-in at Puur Athletics in Cold Lake.

In a heartfelt social media post, the owners shared that while the cash box did not contain any physical cash, it held deep sentimental value. It was irreplaceable, not because of money, but because of what it represented — years of hard work, memories, and the story of their business.

The loss has hit close to home, serving as a reminder that theft impacts more than just property. It affects real people, local families, and small businesses doing their best to serve the community.

Puur Athletics thanked the community for the support they have received and encouraged everyone to continue looking out for one another.

How to Report Information

Anyone with information related to these thefts is asked to contact Cold Lake RCMP at 780-594-3302.

Those wishing to remain anonymous can contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477, submit tips online through P3Tips.com, or use the P3 Tips app available on Apple and Google Play.
