Gary “Bumpy” Hill Obituary

The family of Gary “Bumpy” Robert Hill of Bonnyville, Alberta is heartbroken to announce the passing of their beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend on Sunday, December 28, 2025 at the age of 64 years.

Leaving to mourn with a beautiful life of cherished memories is his dear wife of 40 years: Angie Hill (née Urlacher); children: Chris (Elysia) Tatlow, Kayla (Gerard) Lecce, Eric (Carolynne) Hill, Tyler Hill; treasured grandchildren: Abigail Tatlow, Emma Tatlow, Lauren Hill, Macey Hill, Rudy Lecce, Rosa Hill, Nico Lecce, Franco Lecce; brothers: Dave (Joan) Hill, Brian (Judy) Hill, Terry (Cheryl) Hill; sisters: Margret (Jim) Hoover, Marilyn Hill; parents-in-law: Rudy & Anne Marie Urlacher; good friends: Keith & Diane Bauer; and his adored dog: Gunner. Gary will also be missed by his many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends who loved him dearly.

Gary was predeceased by his parents: Edmund & Anna Hill.

Celebration of Life, Friday, January 9, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Louis Roman Catholic Church, Bonnyville, Alberta with Father Rene Realuyo officiating, followed by hot lunch and an open mic to share stories and memories at the St Louis Parish Hall. The family requests that anyone attending the service wear ‘denim on denim’ in honor of Gary.

Gary will be laid to rest at St. Boniface Roman Catholic Cemetery, Goodsoil, Saskatchewan at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in memory of Gary may be sent to the Bonnyville Health Foundation, 5001 Lakeshore Drive, Bonnyville, AB T9N 0G8; STARS, 1441 Aviation Park NE, Box 570, Calgary, AB T2E 8M7; or the Royal Alexandra Hospital Intensive Care Unit, 10240 Kingsway, Edmonton, AB T5H 3V9.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the paramedics, doctors and nurses at Bonnyville Health Centre, STARS Air Ambulance, and the Royal Alexandra Hospital for their exceptional care, compassion and tireless efforts.
