Bonnyville RCMP arrest made in fatal collision investigation
A repeat offender, Dean Gamache has been charged following nearlyba yearling investigation into a fatal collision.
The La Corey man, has been arrested and charged in connection with a fatal single-vehicle crash near Bonnyville earlier this year, an incident that left one person dead and another injured.
Months of Work Lead to Charges
The collision happened on January 9, 2025. After an extensive eleven-month investigation by the Bonnyville RCMP General Investigation Section, officers arrested Dean Peter Gamache on December 3, 2025.
Gamache has been remanded into custody and faces the following charges:
▪️ Operation while impaired causing death
▪️ Operation while impaired causing bodily harm
▪️ Operation while prohibited
▪️ Possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000

“This file involved months of work and dedication by the Bonnyville General Investigation Section. Members utilised multiple judicial authorisations and investigative techniques to gather the necessary evidence to support charges, make an arrest, and safely take Mr Gamache into custody to bring this matter before the courts,” RCMP said.
The case now proceeds through the courts.
