Denis Joseph Hebert
With memories of a life well lived, the family of Denis Joseph Hebert announces his passing at the age of 88 years on Friday, October 17, 2025, at the Lac La Biche Healthcare Long Term Care.
Denis met the love of his life in Atmore, Alberta, in 1961 and they had four beautiful children together while he worked as a mechanic and a welder. He was very thankful to have Madeleine by his side as she was the glue that held the family together. The family’s favourite memory of Denis was his sense of humor and notable one liners. He had a passion for the outdoors and a sweet tooth (all of them to be exact).
Denis leaves to mourn his wife: Madeleine of 63 years; children: Angie (Steve) Schaub, Paul (Carol) Paul Hebert, Joanne (former spouse, Gary) Gashinky, Mona (Stephen) Henderson; grandchildren: Nicole (Jordan) Manzulenko, Kyle (Elyse) Schaub, Dillon (Sandra) Hebert, Carter Hebert (Meaghin McNallie), Craig (Erin) Gashinsky, Chad Gashinsky, Scott (Jessica) Henderson, Meaghan Henderson (Gavin Leite), Daniel Henderson; great grandchildren: Kinsley (Jamie) Pollard, Corina (Brayden) Yager, Max Manzulenko, Sophie Manzulenko, Sena Schaub, Adalyn Hebert, Mallory Hebert; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
He was predeceased by his parents: Ulric & Blanche Hebert; brother: Lucien (Laurette) Hebert; sister: Jeanne (Urban) Gauthier; parents-in-law: Alex & Estelle Schaub; six brothers-in-law; five sisters-in-law; great granddaughter: Lily Manzulenko.
Funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 25, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Catherine’s Parish, Lac La Biche, Alberta. Father Adrian Tumanda will be officiating.
A private family inurnment will follow at a later date.
Pallbearer: Paul, Paul Hebert.
Honorary Pallbearers: all of his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
The family would like to thank the staff at Golden Sands, Acute Care and Long Term Care at the Lac La Biche Health Care Centre.
