Four people were arrested after Lac La Biche RCMP and the Eastern Alberta District Crime Reduction Unit executed a search warrant at a residence on Beaver Lake Cree Nation on October 24.

Weapons Found During Search
With help from the Alberta RCMP Emergency Response Team, police searched the home and seized a sawed-off shotgun, four replica firearms, another firearm, and ammunition.

Charges Laid Against One Suspect
29-year-old Tristan Bradley Campbell of Long Plain First Nation, Manitoba, was charged with:

  • Possession of a loaded firearm

  • Possession of a firearm while prohibited

  • Possession of ammunition while prohibited

  • Failing to comply with a release order (x2)

Campbell remains in custody and is scheduled for a bail hearing in Lac La Biche on November 3.

Targeting Repeat Offenders
“This investigation resulted in police arresting a prolific offender and removing unsafe firearms from the streets,” said Cpl. Chris Salamon of the Eastern Alberta District Crime Reduction Unit. “Crime Reduction Units in collaboration with RCMP detachments, like Lac La Biche, effectively target priority offenders who cause the most harm in our communities and play a crucial role in increasing public safety.”
