It is with heavy hearts that the family of Philomena “Phyllis” Bartok of Bonnyville, Alberta announce her passing on Friday, October 10, 2025 at the age of 84 years.
Phyllis will be forever remembered and dearly loved by her three children: Irén Bartók (Bruce Hurtubise) of Parkland County, AB, Almos (Tammy) Bartók of Sherwood Park, AB, Lenke (Roger) Fersovitch of Bonnyville, AB; six grandchildren: Marc Hurtubise, Brendan Bartók, Keegan Bartók, Rowan Bartók, Kirsty (Brad) Paice, Séan Fersovitch; two great grandchildren: Bekkam Paice, Laikyn Paice; two brothers-in-law: Sándor (Nellie) Bartók of London, England, István (Susan) Bartók of Penticton, BC; sister-in-law: Klára (Gábor) Csiszár of Hungary; as well as numerous nieces & nephews.
Phyllis was predeceased by her beloved husband of 56 years Janos Bartók; five brothers: Thomas, Charles, Bryan, Patrick, Jeremiah (Br. Kieran); six sisters: Bridget, Kathleen, Eleanor, Alice, Mary, Theresa.
As per Phyllis’ wishes, cremation has taken place. Celebration of Life, Saturday, November 29, 2025 at 2:00 p.m., Bonnyville Senior Centre, 4813-47 Avenue, Bonnyville, AB.
