Doris Amahoose

September 18, 1960 – October 12, 2025

On Sunday, October 12, 2025, Doris Ann Amahoose of Kehewin Cree Nation passed away tragically at the age of 65 years.

Doris is lovingly survived by her 7 siblings: Mary Brertton, Willard (Leona) Amahoose, Joseph (Lorraine) Amahoose, Lena Amahoose, Homer Amahoose, Bernice (Gary) Amahoose-Dion, Arlene Amahoose (Lloyd); God son: Jessie Dion; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other extended family and many friends.

Doris was predeceased by her parents: James & Delphine Amahoose; sister: Eleysa Cardinal; brother: Norman Amahoose; Godparents: Lloyd & Mary Poitras.

Wake, Tuesday, October 21 (leaving Northern Lights Funeral Chapel Bonnyville at 2:00 p.m.) & Wednesday, October 22, 2025, Kehewin Recreation Centre, Kehewin Cree Nation.

Funeral Service, Thursday, October 23, 2025 at 11:00 a.m., Kehewin Recreation Centre with interment to follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Kehewin Cree Nation.
