With the 2025 Municipal Election results now unofficially tallied, Bonnyville Mayor Elisa Brosseau has extended her congratulations to all who ran for public office, recognising the dedication and courage it takes to serve the community.
“Running for municipal office isn’t easy,” said Brosseau. “It takes courage, dedication, and a genuine commitment to community to step up and ask for the trust of residents.”
While some races across the region were closely contested, Brosseau said the willingness of so many residents to engage in local governance shows the strength of Bonnyville’s community spirit.
The mayor also expressed her gratitude to those who made election night possible.
“I would like to extend a sincere thank you to the Election Workers, who spent the evening carefully counting ballots and ensuring the process remained fair and transparent,” she said. “Their behind-the-scenes work is what keeps our democracy strong and trusted.”
Brosseau said she looks forward to collaborating with both returning and newly elected representatives from across the region.
“Together, through regional collaboration and a shared vision, we’ll continue to keep Bonnyville and the surrounding area North of Expected,” she said.
Official results are expected to be confirmed in the coming days.
