Four councillors acclaimed, three elected in contested divisions

The County of Vermilion River has released its unofficial results from the 2025 municipal election. Official results will be confirmed on Friday, October 24, once final verification is complete.

Division 1

• Marty Baker – Elected by acclamation ✅

• Vanessa Paré – 140 ✅ Elected

• Dale Swyripa – 101

Division 3

• Stacey Hryciuk – 232 ✅ Elected

• Jason Stelmaschuk – Elected by acclamation ✅

• Clinton Murray – Elected by acclamation ✅

Division 7

• Leslie Cusack – 180 ✅ Elected

Summary

Four divisions—1, 4, 5, and 6—were filled by acclamation, while voters in Divisions 2, 3, and 7 headed to the polls. Vanessa Paré, Stacey Hryciuk, and Leslie Cusack secured their seats following strong showings in their respective wards.

The new council will be sworn in following the declaration of official results by Returning Officer Hannah Musterer on October 24, 2025.
