Increased Air Traffic Expected Over Cold Lake This Month
Residents across the Lakeland region can expect to see and hear more activity in the skies between October 20 and November 7, 2025, as Alpha Jets, Learjets, and USAF B-52H Stratofortress aircraft take part in training exercises.
Flights will occur during the day and evening, as part of planned training missions out of 4 Wing Cold Lake.
Defence officials note that all operations are carefully coordinated to ensure public safety and minimize noise disruption over the City of Cold Lake. These exercises are a regular and essential part of maintaining operational readiness and strengthening coordination between allied air forces.
