Former Law Enforcement Training Director Charged with Sexual Assault
RCMP have charged a former Director of the Law Enforcement Training Centre in Lac La Biche following an investigation into allegations of sexual assault.
The case began in June 2025, when police were informed of allegations involving a candidate in training. The investigation determined the offences occurred in 2024, while the victim was participating in a training program.
After an extensive multi-district investigation, Christopher Clark, 42, of Lac La Biche, has been charged with sexual assault. Clark was released on Oct. 7, 2025, under conditions, and is scheduled to appear in Lac La Biche Court of Justice on Nov. 17, 2025.
“This investigation was significant from a public interest perspective,” said Staff Sgt. James Morton, Acting Operations Officer for Alberta RCMP Eastern Alberta District. “It demonstrates our ability to conduct a lawful and proper investigation, liaise with the Crown, and ensure a bias-free and trauma-informed approach.”
