Cold Lake RCMP Investigate Fatal Hit and Run on Baywood Road

Cold Lake RCMP are investigating a fatal hit and run that occurred early Saturday morning, Oct. 11, 2025, on Range Road 420, commonly known as Baywood Road, just north of Township Road 630 in the MD of Bonnyville.

At approximately 4:59 a.m., officers responded to a report of a deceased male found along the roadway. Upon arrival, police determined the victim, a 48-year-old resident of Island Lake First Nation, Saskatchewan, had died at the scene. Evidence collected suggests the man was struck by a vehicle. The driver did not remain on site.

Public Assistance Requested

RCMP are asking for the public’s help as the investigation continues. Investigators are seeking video footage or surveillance from anyone who may have been in the area of Range Road 420 and Township Road 630 between the evening of Friday, Oct. 10 and the early morning hours up to 5:00 a.m. on Oct. 11.
