BRFA Fire Advisory in Effect – October 9, 2025, at 3:00 p.m.
A Fire Advisory is now in place for the MD of Bonnyville No. 87, the Villages of Bonnyville Beach, Pelican Narrows, and Glendon.
Under this advisory:
▪️ New fire permits will only be approved for essential burning and handled case by case.
▪️ Campfires are still allowed, as long as they are safe and contained.
Not allowed:
▪️ Any burning without a valid fire permit (other than campfires).
▪️ Fireworks or exploding targets of any kind.
If you’ve done any burning earlier this summer, please check your burn sites again to make sure everything is completely out and cold to the touch.
Dry fall grasses can easily reignite a smouldering pile and start a wildfire.
