It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Rachel Laura Shtybel (née Hebert). On August 8, 2025, at the age of 75 years, Rachel passed away peacefully, surrounded by love. She will be deeply missed by her children, Tammy (Steve) Krueckl, Shelley Shtybel, Kevin (Roxanne) Shtybel & Cary Shtybel; her cherished grandchildren, Maxwell (Shannen) & Emily Krueckl, Julia & Benjamin Scheuer, Tory (Ryan) Packolyk, Vanessa, Gena, Oakley, Austin & Marrissa Shtybel; & her first eagerly awaited great-grandson. Rachel is also survived by her sisters, Julie, Rose Marie, Vivian & Pauline; & her brothers, Julien & Denis. She was predeceased by her husband of 52 years, Ernie Shtybel; parents Moise & Rose Hebert; brothers, Noel & Jean Guy; & sister, Lucy. The family wishes to extend heartfelt thanks to the ICU staff at the Royal Alexandra Hospital for their outstanding care, kindness, and compassion. A Mass of Christian burial will be held Monday, August 18 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul Cathedral with Reverend Father Emmanuel Umeohanna as the celebrant. Cremation to follow.
