It is with broken hearts that the family announces the passing of their beloved husband, dad, grandpa, and great-grandpa, George Lukinuk of Bonnyville, Alberta on Monday, August 11, 2025 at the age of 93 years.
George is leaving to mourn with cherished memories his wife of 67 years: Edith Lukinuk; children: Karen Pilipchuk (Marcel Laplante), Shelley Lukinuk, Cyndie (Norman) Tercier, Laurie (Ted) Plouffe, Leanne Lukinuk, Nattalie (Tim) Cabay, Ken (Debby) Lukinuk; grandchildren: Clint (Daisy) Pilipchuk, Chantal Pilipchuk (Eddy Tizzard), Jay (Hailey) Lafond, Amanda (Brad) Hepburn, Darcy (Denise) Tercier, Alyssa (Brendon) Rayner, Amy (Carter) Lang, Allison (Andrew) Buchanan, Lindsay Carrigan, Morgan Carrigan, Nathan (Jeena) Cabay, Amber Cabay (Adam), Taylor Lukinuk (Riley), Logan Lukinuk (Caitlin); great-grandchildren: Payton Tripple, Rhett Tizzard, George Lafond, William Lafond, Theodore Lafond, Nate Hepburn, Abby Hepburn, Pearl Tercier, Roe Tercier, Reid Tercier, Madison Rayner, Elliette Rayner, Oliver Rayner, Oscar Lang, Lana Lang, Ella Buchanan, Carter Buchanan, Carson Bryant, Chloe Bryant, J’dyn Thom, Jaxyn Cabay; brothers: Mitchell Lukinuk, Johnny (Gloria) Lukinuk, Danny (Jackie) Lukinuk; sister: Elizabeth Porfon; as well as many other nieces, nephews, and loved ones.
George was predeceased by his parents: Bill and Jenny Lukinuk; sisters: Mary, Helen, Elsie; brothers: Andy, Peter, Mike, Alex.
Funeral Service, Monday, August 18, 2025 at 11:00 a.m., Bonnyville Seniors’ Drop-In Centre, Bonnyville, Alberta, with Pastor Grant Lottering officiating. Pallbearers: Clint Pilipchuk, Jay Lafond, Darcy Tercier, Morgan Carrigan, Nathan Cabay, Logan Lukinuk. Honorary Pallbearers: Preston Rash, Andy Bouchard. Final Resting Place, St. John’s United Church Cemetery, Bonnyville, Alberta.
