With grateful hearts for a life well lived, the family of James “Jim” Krawiec of Bonnyville, Alberta announce the passing of their beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother on Sunday, August 10, 2025 at the age of 101 years.

Leaving to mourn with a lifetime of cherished memories is his devoted wife of 76 years: Julia Krawiec; daughters: Joyce (Peter) Drapaka, Jeannette (Bob) Poulin, Joanne Toma, Julie Krawiec; grandchildren: Shawn (Michelle) Drapaka, Trevor (Jaime) Drapaka, Jason Poulin, Beverly Poulin, Kimberly Toma, Sasha Ostashewski, Zenon (Emilee) Ostashewski; treasured great grandchildren: Logan, Addison, Hunter, Brooke, Gwendolyn, Talen, Darby, Ruslan; sister: Olga Cross; Jim also leaves behind a large circle of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Jim was predeceased by his parents: Steve & Polly Krawiec; brothers: Peter Krawiec, John Krawiec, Walter Krawiec; sister: Kate Sadlowsky; son-in-law: Brian Toma; sister-in-law: Veronica Krawiec; brothers-in-law: Paul Sadlowsky, Allan Cross; great granddaughter: Lexanna Drapaka; nephews: Arthur Cross, Lloyd Cross.

Funeral Service, Friday, August 15, 2025 at 2:00 p.m., Bonnyville Seniors’ Drop-In Centre, Bonnyville, Alberta with Reverend Stephen Sparks officiating. Pallbearers: Jason Poulin, Shawn Drapaka, Beverly Poulin, Kimberly Toma, Trevor Drapaka, Sasha Ostashewski, Zenon Ostashewski, Talen Higgins. Final Resting Place, Russo Orthodox Cemetery, Bonnyville, Alberta.
